About the Author

Carrie Setterberg, along with help from husband Gary, is the author of Zoom Zoom Out the Womb!, a whimsical and heartfelt story told through the joyful voice of a soon-to-be-born child chatting with the parents. The idea for the book came from a deeply personal place—Carrie’s daughter experienced an overdue and difficult delivery with her first child, and through that journey came laughter, prayer, and the inspiration for this sweet celebration of new life.

A mother of three and proud grandmother of seven, Carrie embraces her title as the “fun and crazy grandma.” She loves to sing, make up silly songs with her grandchildren, and fill her home with laughter, prayer and music. A former praise and worship singer, she still delights in using her voice—and her ukulele—to share joy and faith with others.

Originally from Minnesota, Carrie has called Mooresville, North Carolina home for the past twelve years and loves the outdoor activities that Lake Norman provides. She cherishes cooking and creating lasting memories with her grandchildren, especially when they gather to make traditional Norwegian lefse, cookies, and breads.

Carrie has also spent years bringing children’s stories to life on stage, writing and directing plays and musicals as part of summer drama programs. Whether through storytelling, song, or shared laughter, she’s passionate about inspiring kids to love God, celebrate the gift of life, and cherish special family moments.
